Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, software-enabled transformation programmes within the retail sector. The successful candidate will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor, able to drive change and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale systems transformation project, including the implementation and integration of a new software platform across Support Office retail operations.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
• Apply robust programme governance, including RAID management (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions), status reporting, and executive-level updates.
• Build and maintain credibility and relationships across all business functions.
• Communicate complex issues clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and experience.
• Operate effectively at both Steering Group and operational levels.
• Champion change management and people leadership, fostering engagement and adoption.
• Identify, manage, and resolve project issues, risks, and problems, challenging and influencing stakeholders as needed.
• Actively participate in project tasks, workshops, and solution delivery, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
• Document and/or support colleagues to document process.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering complex systems transformation projects, ideally within the Support Office function of a[PT1]  retail sector. This includes leading the implementation of new software solutions (such as ERP, F&R, Space Planning, Range Planning) and integrating them into existing business processes.
• Retail industry experience with deep knowledge of Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R), Space Planning, and Range Planning.
• Strong people leadership and change management capabilities, including designing and executing change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communications to drive adoption and minimize resistance.
• Demonstrated ability in issue, risk, and problem management, with confidence to challenge, influence, and negotiate across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and relationships across all business functions.
• Strong programme governance and reporting capabilities, including RAID management, status reporting, and executive-level updates.
• Hands-on approach to project delivery, with a willingness to actively participate in workshops, solution design, and implementation activities.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working in a standalone project management role, reporting into senior leadership.
• Formal project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
• Experience with business process mapping and improvement.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• A proactive, results-oriented mindset.
